Casssa Vlanca Hotel

Wonderful Oaxaca. The location is excellent, and the hotel is clean with a huge bed. It’s a good basic place, with a pretty courtyard, but there were so many mosquitoes that it wasn’t pleasant to spend time there. The rooms face the courtyard, so mine felt almost windowless and I had to keep the curtains closed. I’m sure the upper rooms are nicer.

The owners take real pride in their hospitality and have spent the last eight years building up the property, investing in their dream each year and making it more beautiful. It’s a small, quiet hotel in the city center, with very comfortable beds and air conditioning. The area is part of the business office district, so nights are especially quiet, and the center is only four icks away. Good value for money, with a super friendly family running the place.

The price is very good, and the staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful when you have questions about Palenque or things to do. They’re still growing and the service is improving little by little, so take it easy if an inconvenience comes up. The internet needs to improve, though that’s understandable in a small town like Palenque.

The staff were super friendly, especially since I don’t speak any Spanish. My room was very clean, the AC was really cold, and the showers were super hot. I enjoyed my stay.
