I checked on my booking two months ahead, even though I’d made it six months before. They canceled it outright and claimed they’d never accepted the reservation. With hardly any vacancies around then, I couldn’t find anything comparable. Confirm your booking, or maybe don’t bother.

The hotels and the whole town of Patzcuaro are beautiful. If you’re planning a trip to Mexico, do yourself a favor and visit Patzcuaro in the state of Michuacan.

The mattress was comfortable, and the room we had was clean, but I wouldn’t stay again. There was nowhere to put the soap or shampoo except the floor or shower, and the hotel shampoo barely lathered, so bringing your own is a good idea. The nightstand lamp wasn’t connected to an outlet, with the plug left visible, so it seemed purely decorative and took up space. A box sitting on top of the TV blocked part of the screen. There was just one outlet in the room for charging a phone or another device, plus one in the bathroom. I can only speak for our room, so I don’t know if they’re all alike.

The inside is beautifully decorated, and the hotel fits right in with Pátzcuaro’s colonial architecture. It’s small, comfortable, and welcoming. Service during our stay was excellent, and I’d highly recommend it.
