Casa Maca

I loved the pool area for unwinding after a day out, and the apartment felt safe and well cared for. Casa Maca Hotel is spacious, beautifully designed, and close to everything while still quiet enough to relax. The fully equipped kitchen made cooking easy, and the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly the whole stay. The warm, stylish interior made it feel like home right away. The amenities were outstanding. I'd stay again in a heartbeat, a great choice for anyone visiting the area.

The room was spacious and very clean, and all the staff were friendly. Lots of stores and restaurants are nearby, along with bus stations, and the beach is four blocks away. Most things are within walking distance. There was no parking, but reception suggested leaving our rental at the supermarket, which felt safe.

The room was good, the price affordable, and the location convenient, but the customer service needs work. We arrived at 1:30 pm, and the owner or manager wanted 100 pesos just to let us leave our bags at the hostel, saying, “In Mexico, everything is money.” At 7 am the next day, a staff member woke us with loud bangs to tell us the stairs were wet, far too early and completely unnecessary. On the second day, the bathroom developed a really bad smell. We think the heavy rain may have caused it, but it was unbearable. The facilities are okay.

We felt warmly welcomed and like friends very quickly. The manager paid attention to details, stayed easy to contact, and took care of small issues right away. The rooms are set back from the street, so it was quiet for sleeping. The new A/Cs worked well, and each room had its own strong Wi-Fi. There was a fancy rainfall shower with plenty of hot water, plus new furnishings and a kitchenette. The space was clean and well maintained, and the pool was clean and refreshing. It's a short walk to the Beach and pedestrian walk on 5th. A wonderful experience. Thank you Jan and staff!
