Fabiola Condo Hotel

The staff were courteous, and the short walk to 5th Avenue was a real plus, but the place was just okay. We had to change rooms after the first night because music and loud singing from outside blared into the first room until after 2 a.m., making sleep impossible. The second room was a little quieter, though still not great. It had no bedroom lamps, so it was quite dark after dark, and the Wi-Fi was spotty and frustrating. The hot tub wasn’t working during our stay, which was another disappointment.

We come to Playa almost every year and stay in this Hotel Apartment. The rooms are always clean, and reception is helpful. Thanks to the cleaning ladies Dulce and Mary. The second-floor Suite needs renovating, though, with new beds because the old ones are very noisy. The third-floor Suite is amazing and new. You can get a beach towel at reception each day, and they also offer laundry service, which was very quick. Special thanks to Jonathan at reception for his wonderful service. He’s professional, friendly, and helped us with everything. He deserves a raise! The hotel feels safe thanks to the locked Gate, and the location is good and not too loud. You’re five minutes from the street with Coco Bongo and 5a Avenida. Vamos a regresar pronto!

The quiet spot away from the main tourist walkway was a real plus, and we wished we could've stayed longer. We got a last-minute deal on a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen, which was great value. Free parking and check-in as late as 11pm made things easy. The place isn't especially modern, but the kitchen had what we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the big Sony TV was modern. The pool looked lovely, though we were out all day and didn't use it. The main bedroom's AC wasn't working well, so we slept in the other room, and the street-facing windows were a bit thin.

The rooms were clean, pretty, and spacious, with a full-size fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and hot water. But I wasn't told the pool was out of order, and nobody offered to help with my bags up three flights of stairs. There's no elevator.
