Fairmont Mayakoba

Kayaking along the waterways and taking a boat tour with Carlos were highlights for us. He made the outing both fun and memorable. Fairmont Mayakoba sits in a spectacular Riviera Maya setting, surrounded by beautiful nature, and the property itself is stunning. The restaurants and bars served excellent food and drinks in lovely settings, and everyone we met was friendly, professional, and welcoming. It was a great mix of luxury, relaxation, and nature. We can't wait to return!

The warm welcome and genuinely friendly service stood out most. People were smiling, offering help and recommendations, and taking time to chat. Our room, 635, was well looked after by Israel and Marina. Rodolfo and Freddy were great around the pool, Alfonso helped as bellman, and Aldo and Diana took care of us at breakfast in Laguna. The rooms, pool, and food were all fantastic. 10/10, I'd highly recommend staying here!

Joyce Acosta was an excellent butler. She arranged halal food at the restaurants we chose, with a few hours' notice, and suggested where to eat each evening. As Muslims, it can be hard to find halal food in places like this, so having halal chicken and steak ready was amazing. She also booked things for us every day and suggested Jungala, which our 5-year-old daughter and 15-month-old son loved. Joyce even surprised the kids with a little tent and arts and crafts in our room. If we return, we'd definitely ask for her again. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary at the steakhouse Tauro, where they had halal steak for us. Our server Leobardo knew the food and pairings well and was very accommodating. Adrianna and Valeiry gave us a couples massage in the Spa, and we left feeling so relaxed. The kids also loved the pools, beach, lagoon ride, and restaurants with their great views and food. Getting driven around in golf carts was fun, too. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make things convenient. It felt like our own tropical paradise bubble, and we'd highly recommend it for a family vacation.

We spent seven days at Fairmont Mayakoba, and it ranks among the top three hotels I've visited. The setting in an amazing mangrove is about 15 mn from playa del Carmen, and we kept seeing animals like turtles, birds, and raccoons. The team was constantly helpful, the pools were great and quiet, and the bedrooms were super comfortable. We had an amazing time.
