The only good parts for me were the friendly, accommodating manager, a Colombian woman, and the central location. But being surrounded by nightclubs also meant it was very loud at night, and I couldn't sleep well. They only accepted cash, obviously. The place felt improvised and run-down, like a hostel that's been worn out, even though it had only been open six months. The sheets were thin and old, there were no lockers, and there was no hot water. Just two showers for a lot of people. Everything looked in bad shape, with no attention to detail. I wonder why people recommend it. I was fooled.

All the business here has been revised!!! Amazing vibe, and so cheap! It was 200 pesos in low season, and I think 400 in high season. I always enjoy breakfast in the morning, people sharing and clients cooking, plus beers and warming up before a party, since it's right in front of the everything area. In Playa Carmen, I think you have three options: pay a lot for good quality services like Playacar, pay cheap, or pay cheap for good or even better quality. The problem is there's no single room for two. Hope this inspires the owner. The pictures speak for themselves.

Really good location, and the rooms were clean. It's above a bar, so expect a bit of noise. The Wi-Fi wasn't great, but otherwise it was a good, honest, family-run hostel.

There was no hot water or drinking water, and the roof leaked when it rained. They said reception was open 24 hours, but it wasn't.
