The views are spectacular, and that's what makes the place. It's dated, but in a cool 70's sort of way, and you pay for that view. The road up is really steep and rough, so you basically have to walk unless you've got a car. Service was good, the rooms were clean, and the TV and fan both worked. For a three star, this is as good as it gets.

The view is stunning, and the staff were great. The pool was clean and refreshing, the shower was hot and wonderful, and I think every room has a view. It was worth the hill and the price for us. This isn't a modern place, but we loved it and felt it suited Puerto Angel's vibe. Just get a cab driver's number when you arrive so you can get around without walking up and down the hill. Puerto Angel also isn't like the other beach towns in Oaxaca, and it's not especially hip or fancy. We were glad we stayed here.

Amazing views for the price. It's a bit worn, but it gave us the feeling of the Gran Budapest movie, like it had been super fancy years ago and traces of that were still there. We loved it!
