The balcony has an incredible view, and we even spotted whales from it. We loved the solitude and quiet, though you’ll need a car or other transport to reach the beaches. The hosts were excellent, and we enjoyed meeting them. There’s no TV or air conditioning, which didn’t bother us. The sea breeze kept the room cool, and there was a fan too. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to retreat.

It’s a beautiful villa with a spectacular view, but there are some practical things to know. There’s no running water, only water trucks. There may not be enough for a shower, and when water is available it comes out as a trickle, around 20 liters in 10 minutes. It’s cold, with no hot water. The balcony is one long hallway without partitions, so there’s no privacy. There’s no air conditioning, and when I stayed there wasn’t a ceiling fan either, just a pedestal fan. Nobody is in charge of the villa in the late afternoon, so have your questions ready. Rooms aren’t cleaned unless you ask. The unpaved access road is rough and steep, and you really need a car since public transport is about a kilometer and a half away.

The rooms are simple but comfortable, the service very friendly, and the view spectacular. It’s close to the beaches and there’s also access to a natural pool. A unique place for a relaxing stay by the sea. We’ll definitely return.
