The drawback is getting there. The access street isn't well maintained and the area feels a little secluded, though it seemed safe to walk around at night and we had no trouble coming back without a car. Playa Zicatela's center is about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel itself is charming, nicely decorated, and away from the crowds downtown. It's a small place with only four rooms, a good fit for a quiet vacation. Our room was bright and roomy, with a wardrobe, sofas, and a small kitchenette for simple meals. Outside there's parking for 4-5 cars and a large pool with hammocks, tables, and umbrellas, a nice spot to cool off after an outing.

The mangoes from the tree were delicious! Service was excellent and the place was extremely clean. The only thing that bothered me was having just one AC unit for the whole apartment, which left the bedrooms too hot to sleep comfortably. There are ceiling fans, but to us they just seemed to blow hot air.

The pool was wonderful and the rooms were really comfortable. I stayed last week, had a lovely time, and would definitely recommend the place. It's about a 10-minute walk from Zicatela. Thanks to Eva for her hospitality.
