There were huge cockroaches in the room, and it had a strange smell with no sunlight coming in. I also got sick with flu-like symptoms during my stay. In the early morning, housekeepers would wake me to ask about cleaning. A “do not disturb” card would have made more sense. :(

The location made it easy to get to Mercado Benito Juarez, super market Bodega Aurrera, pharmacies and other places nearby. Staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had a good stay. The rooms felt cozy, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was quite spacious. Great hotel.

Our van fit easily in the ample parking around back, and the staff were really nice. The toilet was unreliable, and lights outside the room stayed on, so it wasn't very dark inside. Still, I'd happily stay here again if I come back to Puerto Escondido.

I got one of the renovated rooms, and it was clean and had everything I needed. I stayed one night with AC. There was some construction, but the noise wasn't too bad. The one catch is that the internet isn't Fiber as they claim. It was more like modem speed, around 28 Mbps.

Everything you need is there, and it's simple and basic, with a big bathroom and hot water. Just know it's right beside a dentist's waiting room, so mornings can bring some unexpected noise. Bring earplugs. :)
