La Playita Beach House

The staff were thoughtful and quick to help. We had a great stay at Zicantela, with a nice room and a lovely pool for days when we didn't feel like swimming in the sea just beyond the gate 🙂.

The beach is very close, and the staff were helpful and good. It was extremely quiet, too. There's no AC, but at least in autumn and winter that wasn't an issue at night. Excelente.

The shared kitchen was a welcome bonus, especially with filtered drinking water. The rooms are rustic, but ours had two strong fans and a great shower. Just remember to switch off the water while soaping up or washing your hair, since the region is going through an extreme water crisis. I found the hotel quiet and peaceful, with La Punta, where everyone goes to party, about a 15-20 minute walk away. There are also some bars and restaurants down the street. Tropical plants and flowers cover the grounds, and you can hear the ocean's powerful waves rumbling in the background. For the price, it was a great deal.

We really liked the tropical plants around the pool. The whole property was very well kept, and both the shared kitchen and our private room were very clean. Having parking right on the property was a plus for us, too. The staff were very friendly.
