We stayed at Casa Bigu for a week and were sorry to leave. The staff were so sweet, always making an extra effort to see that we were comfortable and having a good time. The location was perfect, just a one- or maybe two-minute walk from the beach, with lots of good food and drink options nearby.

I loved staying here. The location was just one block from beach access, quiet and comfortable, and the place was super clean. There’s a small pool and a lovely garden to relax in. Plenty of nice, more affordable restaurants are nearby compared with the La Punta and Zicatela hotel zones. A ride to the center or La Punta costs only 40-50 pesos either way. If you're not a regular surfer and would rather avoid the chaos, I’d highly recommend this area. I also met more expats and locals here. It felt much better than the "yuppies" of Zica hotel zone and the dirty hippies of La Punta. Sad to see Puerto turning into an even douchier version of Tulum. For a better deal, book directly with the hotel on WhatsApp or just show up.

For the price, I got much more than I expected: air conditioning, hot water, a clean room, and friendly staff. I'll gladly come back whenever I'm passing through Puerto.
