We left without booking because we didn’t feel welcome. The rooftop and its hammocks looked great in the photos, and the listed price of 430-500 MX seemed fair. When we visited, a staff member showed us air-conditioned rooms and said the kitchen and rooftop hammocks were free to use. He quoted 500 MX a night, with a discount for longer stays. But when we asked about rooms in the connected building for two weeks, the rate suddenly became 950 MX a night with no discount. He also said the rooftop kitchen cost 80 MX to use, supposedly for gas and electricity. That explanation didn’t make sense to me. Check the Booking ratings too. We felt treated like cash cows, and wouldn’t recommend staying unless you’re happy to pay a lot and be treated like an idiot.

The hostel is right by the market in Centro, and its huge rooftop is the best one I’ve seen in Puerto. There are two kitchens, plenty of places to hang out, and a little bar that opens a few nights during the week. It’s easy to find activities and meet people, but the atmosphere is laid back enough to spend time on your own too. The volunteers were all great, especially Pablo and Isa, Olly, Ema and Chris. Ana, the manager, was super cool as well. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Love you guys.

The rooftop view was stunning, with the beach in the background, and the atmosphere felt positive throughout. I had a spacious, clean private room with lovely decor. The staff were incredibly helpful too. I’d happily stay again. Special thanks to Loncho, whose kindness and hospitality made my visit even better.

I loved having two big kitchens to cook in, and the rooftop was such a good place to relax in the sun. Everyone on staff was wonderful and always ready to help. Nina deserves a special mention for being so warm and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this hostel.
