La Casa de los Angeles Boutique

In September, this was a really nice property for the price. The pool and garden were cared for beautifully, and the rooftop was nice too.

The grounds were very well maintained, and the cleaning made for a nice stay, but I have mixed feelings and probably wouldn't return. Claudia was rude when I first arrived, looking me up and down, and later repeatedly crossed the privacy boundaries I set. She came into the apartment as though it were her own, knocked and disturbed me, and kept looking through the blinds, so keep them shut. I write books, and that month, which included my birthday, was important for creativity and for choosing when to interact with people. I had no guests until then, and told her I planned a dinner, not a party. She said only a few people. Three weeks later I invited four friends to eat at the grill, and she and her husband showed up, bored, and told my guests to leave before the time she had announced. She seemed unable to manage her emotions. I also overheard her extending other guests' stays without realizing I could hear. The place felt a little haunted to me. She had butterflies appear in the shape of a dead relative, which is why it's called Casa de los Angeles.

We almost don't want to praise la casa Los Angeles too much, since that could make it harder to find availability on our next trip to Puerto Escondido. Still, it has to be said: this was one of the best guest experiences we've had. Even without such an amazing house, staying there would be worthwhile just to meet Claudia. We can only recommend it.

I travel all over the world, and Casa De Los Ángeles still felt special: warm, magical, comfortable, full of light, sparkling clean, and full of lovely details. Claudia creates such a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The rooms open onto a lush orchid garden, and a pleasant stroll takes you to the jacuzzi with birds singing all around. Upstairs on the Palapa, you can catch the sunset, hear the sea, and feel the breeze. It’s hard to put the experience into words. I’m longing to go back.
