Zandoyo Bed & Breakfast

The morning Mexican-style breakfast made by Tony and his assistant Sol was a real highlight. There are only five rooms, so breakfast stayed small and gave us a chance to meet some remarkable travelers. It seems popular with European visitors. We met guests from the Netherlands, the UK, Mexico, France, and the U.S. As Canadians, we found it easy to settle in, since Tony speaks English and Spanish. The host has thought of everything, and the rooms are well appointed. There’s also a nice pool for cooling off at the end of the day. This was one of the most comfortable places we’ve stayed, and we’d love to come back. Highly recommended.

Playa Carrizalillo, the nearest safe beach, is about a 10 minute walk away. There are a lot of steps, but it’s absolutely worth it. We also met some really interesting and fun guests, and Tony has created a home away from home in a little corner of paradise. The shared area around the pool has a fridge and cooking and dining facilities, and the room was very well equipped. Breakfast was top notch, with Tony and Sol making different Mexican dishes each morning. It’s an amazing guesthouse, and Tony is a wonderful host.

The breakfasts were a favorite, and people kept talking about how good they were. Tony made something different each day. With just a few guests, it felt intimate and community-like. Everyone was friendly and respectful, and I made a friend from France whom I’m planning to visit. I don’t usually leave reviews, but Zandoyo B&B really stood out. The plants and lovely decor gave the place a calm feel, and I felt at home as soon as I arrived. Tony was kind and welcoming, and our conversations made the stay more special. It’s a peaceful, charming place, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Traveling solo, I really enjoyed meeting people from all over the world here. The breakfast was phenomenal, and I was impressed with how Tony and Sol looked after vegans and vegetarians. The property was spotless and well maintained, with wonderful hosts. It’s close to town and the beaches, yet still quiet and relaxing. A unique, lovely place.
