Hostel Enjoy Vallarta 19

I was there less than an hour. Roberto asked me to pay cash for the two nights I was supposed to stay, and I paid before seeing the room. Once I checked it out, I decided it looked dirty and the whole place felt unsafe, so I didn’t stay. The owner didn’t refund even one night, and I had to leave with empty pockets. They also gave me yellow sheets with dirty stains. The owner was rude and disrespectful. Not a pleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Hopefully the money helps him improve the sheets, at least.

The location is decent, with some nice shops nearby. I only visited a friend who was staying there and looked at the room, but I could never stay there myself. The walls were very thin plywood and loose wires were all over. I guess it’s fair for the price if all you need is somewhere to lay your head. I had better living conditions when deployed in Afghanistan. If cleanliness and safety aren’t priorities for you, you might enjoy it.

The bedsheets looked really dirty, and there was sand in the beds. When we couldn’t make out the Wi-Fi password, the owner wasn’t helpful. This is the cheapest place in town, but I’d definitely pay more to stay elsewhere. The owner was tricky and rude: our booked room wasn’t available, and he tried to get us to pay double for a similar one, as if the room we’d booked was lower quality. It was late, so we eventually paid more to stay. I don’t recommend it unless they improve a few things.

We had a lovely room on the top floor, and the location is excellent. Some might say it’s the best in Vallarta. The host welcomed us warmly when we arrived and was very accommodating. We’d happily stay there forever!
