Lofts on Basilio

The biggest issue for us was the noise. Our loft faced the main road, and we heard bikes, trucks, semis, cars, ambulances, motorcycles, and people all day and night. The city stayed noisy until around 4 am, there were no quiet hours, and people were coming in and out of the building at all hours, sometimes very loudly. It might be fine for others, but it was a real problem for us. The elevator worked only about half the time, maybe less. Our unit was for four people but had dishes for two. On the roof, the fridge wouldn’t stay on, the string lights didn’t work, and neither did the grill or stove. There were no hammocks, and the rooftop didn’t look like the pictures online. Given the price and what we experienced, we wouldn’t stay again. There were some good points. The room, 301, had a nice loft feel and a full sliding door that opened up the space. The upstairs bed was comfortable, there was a fan, and room service came when requested. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer. I’d suggest adding a mirror upstairs so women don’t have to keep walking up and down the stairs to check outfits. We had no trouble getting hot water, although guests are asked to limit showers to five minutes. The rooftop pool was beautiful with amazing views until around day four, when it turned cloudy with a yellowish hue. We didn’t use it after that. The hotel is on a main road, in the middle of everything and within walking distance of the Malecon.

Communication before and during my extended solo stay was prompt and informative. The room was clean, comfortable, and just as advertised, and the rooftop terrace was a nice extra. Remi and the staff helped arrange airport transfers, laundry, and room service. Lofts on Basilio is conveniently located within walking distance of everything PV has to offer. I wasn’t disappointed at all.

Remi and the team took such good care of me, and I can’t wait to return. Lofts on Basillo is absolutely gorgeous, pure luxury. Everything was perfect, and the location puts you right in the middle of things, with restaurants and bars close by.

Room 302 was great, well equipped, and really comfortable. The location is great, and the rooftop deck is fantastic. I’ll definitely be back. There’s also a lovely view of a big tree through the huge window.
