The room had a noticeable smell, especially in the bathroom, and it lingered throughout the apartment. Several parts of the accommodation also felt old and not very well maintained. Still, Casa Mauna has a beautiful view and a great location, which made the stay pleasant. The staff were excellent, friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Better upkeep and a fresher feel would make the experience much better.

Waking up to that amazing view from our room every day was a real highlight of the trip. We had a great stay at Casa Mauna, and the kind, welcoming staff were helpful from the start, so we felt comfortable right away. It’s peaceful and has a warm atmosphere. We’d happily stay again and recommend it.

A really cute little boutique hotel with very spacious accommodations. You do need to rent a car, and the roads to get there are in extremely rough shape. Please be careful. At night, about 1 1/2 blocks from the hotel, I slipped into a huge rocky ditch and couldn’t get my car out for 30 minutes. By the grace of God, I managed to push it out.

We’ll miss this place, but the memories are all positive. The views and location feel like a sanctuary from busy city life, and our rooms were spacious with great views. The food was healthy and really enjoyable, and everyone on staff was friendly and kind. Cab driver Gio was amazing and very accommodating. He took us to Hautalco many times and brought us back to Casa Mauna. We had an amazing holiday and would love to return for the food and the whole experience. Thanks from Laura Daniel and Emmitt.

We came for lunch, but the power went out just as we arrived, and they had trouble getting the generator restarted. Nobody offered us any service while we waited. Another guest had to ask the waitress to bring us at least some water.
