The food was pretty good, and everyone I dealt with was kind and helpful. The rooms are huge, with luxurious beds, and the pool is warm but shallow. Outside, it’s lovely and cozy. The hotel feels a bit dated and could use some maintenance, but I’d gladly stay again.

We booked five rooms for a wedding over two nights. When two couples canceled the first night at the last minute, the hotel refused a refund, which I accepted given how late it was. The following day, the late arrivals were asked to pay a “no show” penalty too. I had paid for all five rooms for both nights, so I went to reception and argued until they dropped the extra charge. Then, from 9 a.m. on Saturday, there was power-tool drilling that sounded like it was coming from the next room. The hotel was full because of two weddings. Why do remodeling then, and why charge full price for a room beside noisy work? Reporting it and complaining made no difference. It’s a beautiful building, but the operation was lousy and disappointing for a chain that usually has such lovely facilities.

The courtyard is lovely for an afternoon, and there’s a great gym. Rooms are huge, the beds and bedding are very nice, and the bathrooms are well equipped. There aren’t many free amenities, and the restaurant is expensive, though the food is good. A good hotel choice.

Housekeeping were amazing. I’d forgotten my laptop cable, and they kindly offered to lend me a phone charger. Then we realized I could use my own, so I didn’t need it after all. I used my phone supercharging cable and adaptor during my next meetings. Lunch was generous and very good: I had Tortilla soup and Rib Eye tacos, though either dish on its own would probably be enough. The restaurant is very nice but pricey. My room gets four stars from me because the shower and bathtub drain didn’t work, so water collected while I showered. I was only there one night and didn’t have time or reason to call the lobby or maintenance. The hotel may need to improve its process for company-prepaid rooms and meals. Breakfast was included, but when a company also needs to cover lunch or dinner, the protocol is long and clunky. All in all, I had a good experience.
