Watch the tour prices at nucu Hotel. The woman there tried to charge me 300 pesos extra. When I said that wasn’t the price, she fiddled with the calculator and showed me a figure 100 pesos lower. My boyfriend got the tickets at their office in town and paid the real price; he also looked “more mexican.” For reference, these were the prices: Canyon Sumidero 500 mxn pesos, Agua Azul/Palenque 700 mxn pesos, and Chiflon/Montebello 400 mxn pesos. It felt like an absolute impudence :(

It’s worth the $700 for two people 👥. The rooms are good, with a coffee maker and hot water. The place is central but away from the noise of drunk people, so I recommend it for relaxing.

The homemade breakfasts were delicious and seasoned just right, and you can tell care goes into making them. Our room was clean, nicely kept, and decorated with a cozy feel that suited San Cristóbal’s cool weather. Staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived, always ready to help us feel comfortable. I saw someone suggest adding air conditioning, but I don’t think it’s needed. San Cristóbal gets cold, especially at night, and we never missed it. We felt safe, welcome, and at ease throughout our stay at Hotel Nucú. We’d happily come back and recommend it for a peaceful, pretty place with excellent service in San Cristóbal.

Everything else was 1000/10, and the receptionist gave excellent service 🫶. We did have a bit of trouble with the hot water.

We found it clean and homey, and the staff were attentive. My kids loved the room so much they didn’t want to leave. It’s just a block from Santo Domingo Church, which makes it central while still quiet enough to relax. Highly recommend.
