Hotel Tepeyac

The rooms are quaint, quiet, and clean. They are a bit small, though, so traveling light would help. We loved the place: the decor and staff were excellent, and you can easily walk to the points of interest around town. It's very pedestrian friendly. Highly recommend.

There's no need for a car to get around, and lots of great restaurants are just around the corner. Check out the ones beyond the pedestrian street. The place is lovely, well priced, and well located. The shower also had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water.

The hotel let us down twice during our stay. First, we were told to bring our laundry the next day and that express service would have it ready by the end of that day. When we went in, though, they said the laundry was closed, apparently as usual. We would have made other arrangements instead of leaving with all our dirty clothes. The second problem was at checkout. The day before, they had arranged a transfer for us for 700MXN and confirmed it that morning. Then, 40 minutes later, when it was time to go to the airport, they said no transfer had been booked and quoted 1200MXN. We didn't want to miss our flight, so we couldn't refuse or find another option. At the desk they didn't seem to understand that this was their mistake. They said things like, "Sorry, this is not an agency" and "I did not say that, if my colleagues did..." Unbelievable. If you can't provide these services, you shouldn't offer them. Anyone in that position knows that.

Right in the middle of town, and a great place to stay. The hotel staff were amazing, very kind and polite, and the service was excellent.
