Posada Santa

The shared patio and outdoor kitchen are fresh and lively, a lovely place to relax in the sunshine away from the busy streets of San Cris. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and it was all very reasonably priced and ticked every box for us. Tammy and Matty, who run Pasada Santa, are the loveliest couple and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. My eight-year-old daughter loves animals, so having a dog there was wonderful. She fell in love with Lupita 🐕❤️ We came to visit San Cristobal and booked one week, but loved it so much we stayed three. We were sad to leave and will definitely return if we're in San Cris again. We got the twin room, which was meant to be two separate rooms but had no door between them. The price was decent, the staff lovely, and the place had a really relaxed feel. The location was wonderful. I'd say it's quite decent.

Maria was the daytime desk clerk, maid, cook, and the person to ask for anything. Her English is limited, and our Spanish was very poco, but we connected anyway. She was always smiling and made an amazing breakfast. The staff overall are friendly and will go out of their way to make you comfortable, though they speak little to no English, so brush up on some Spanish. We booked Posada Santa for the price, location, included breakfast, and the heater in the room. We visited in February, when nights can get frosty. The small, cozy rooms were clean and the water was hot. The propane tank had to be changed when we first checked in, but after that we had long hot showers. Also, the plumbing in our room was reversed, hot on the right and cold on the left, hehehehehe. One thing to know: Google Maps shows this charming Posada one block away from where it actually is. The address is 56, not 34A. If you're expecting a polished Hyatt or Marriott experience, this isn't it. But for clean accommodation at a reasonable rate, it's worth a look. We stayed five nights and wished we could have stayed longer.

Tami, Mati, and Lupita are all LOVE, and there are fresh flowers around all the time! They're kind, sociable, and always keen to help. So easygoing, they make everything simple. They speak lots of languages, which makes communication a piece of cake. Thanks for everything. One LOVE!
