Hotel Posada San Jorge

We weren’t guests at the hotel, but we really enjoyed the guided quad/ATV ride they offer. Monica handled our reservation the day before and explained how to use the four-wheeler in English. The staff were friendly and patient with my imperfect Spanish. Our guide spoke Spanish during the tour, explaining the history, geology, and cultural importance of the places we saw, and stopped at a few scenic spots to take our picture. It lasted about an hour and was very reasonably priced. A++ would highly recommend!

The room and property were nice, and the owner speaks English. They let us leave the car there before check-in, and would have given us the room too if it had been ready. The trail to Peña de Bernal starts super close by, while the church in the town center is about a 15 minute walk. If you’re hiking Peña de Bernal, I’d start early, around 9am, before it gets hot and crowded.

The hotel is simple but comfortable, and the price was really good and affordable. The staff were kind and so helpful, going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. It’s the closest hotel to the Pena de Bernal, which spared us the long uphill walk we would have faced from other hotels. I’d definitely recommend it to others.
