Hotel Hacienda Los Narcisos

The owner even offered to drive us to the bus terminal in the hotel van. The festival had brought lots of pilgrims, and with the street closed to traffic, there wasn't any public transportation. They also let us into our room early and stored our bags when we left. Everything was very clean, and the hotel is close to the cathedral. A great choice if you're traveling with an older person or someone with limited mobility.

We had to keep asking for hot water because they turned it off, and the water was cold. The TV had no signal, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, and there was nowhere to park to unload our luggage. On top of that, they raised the price a few days before we were due to pay, then charged us another $1000 when we arrived, saying they'd made a pricing mistake.

The room I did get was filthy, with food still left behind by the previous guest. I went to reception, but they only said they'd filed a complaint. No one even came up to clean it. Earlier, after I called to reserve two rooms, I was told the manager had canceled one to sell it to someone else when I arrived to pay, despite their assurance that a deposit would be enough and there'd be no problem. The receptionist offered no solution, just an apology. If you can stay somewhere else, do that. Make this your last resort.

The common areas have beautiful architecture, and having an elevator is a big plus. It's a very central spot. My room was clean but felt cramped, and I got the impression the service wasn't quite up to par.
