The staff were warm and friendly, and the service was excellent. Our assigned room made for a fun stay, with lots of character and a sense of history. The hotel feels very traditional, so you need to expect that going in. It was a really interesting and unique experience on this trip, and we'd recommend it for the experience alone.

We came from Chicago for a wedding and would definitely return. The hotel tour was lovely, and the wedding venue connected to it was stunning. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful, service was great, and breakfast was included with our room and delicious. We don't speak Spanish, but had minimal to no trouble with translation.

The hotel’s interior is stunning, and you can really feel its history. Whenever I’m in San Luis Potosí, it’s my first choice. The staff are warm, professional, and attentive, and dinner options are just a short walk away. Their VIP parking is especially easy: pull up out front and they handle the car. I’ve traveled widely, and this place still feels one of a kind.

I came along while my husband was in town for work. We loved the beautiful hotel and the interesting art, and I had a wonderful massage with Norma. Breakfast was delicious and the service was great, though it could be slow for someone on a business schedule. My husband and his coworkers felt it wasn’t the best setup for work trips: there isn’t an iron in each room, though you can get one at reception, and they only give you one key per room. Since he was working and I was out enjoying myself, we had to coordinate a lot.

The breakfast was good, served in a pleasant room, and the chapel on the third floor is beautifully decorated. The mansion dates to 1675, and the decor throughout is impressive. Dinner was another story. We had a reservation at cava restaurant, a striking place down in a rocky basement, but they said they were overwhelmed by a party of 10-12 and couldn’t serve us, so we went elsewhere. The bathroom water was hot or superhot, with no cold water.
