After ignoring me for hours, someone finally got back to me and said the rooms I had booked for the single night were already taken. They had canceled that reservation without my consent, even though the rooms had only been reserved earlier that day. It felt like they were looking for a reason not to honor the booking, maybe because someone else could stay longer. They put me through a frustrating runaround, then offered rooms with fewer beds and less capacity than I had originally booked, at higher prices. When I asked why, they said the prices had gone up the day before. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ This started weeks earlier, when I reserved three rooms and paid half the total as a deposit. Two weeks before the dates, my work changed our event schedule, so I asked to shorten the booking from three nights to one. The first person I spoke to said that was fine and confirmed the change on WhatsApp. Then, just yesterday, someone called to say the change was okay but I couldn't get the deposit back or apply it to the revised stay. They called it policy, though nobody had told me about any policies when I booked. I asked why they couldn't release the other two nights and put my deposit toward the three rooms for one night instead. They said they'd speak to a supervisor and get back to me. Today, on Easter, I found out they'd canceled the entire reservation and refunded my deposit. In a text, they said there were only two options and had clearly chosen for me. I thought fine, let's change the date to the one I'd asked for originally. We never even had a chance to stay, but this was one frustrating thing after another. They wasted a lot of my time twice, once on a holiday. We travel to SLRC often for work, and this could have been a good option and ongoing business for the hotel. Sadly, that won't happen.

There was plenty of space for my family and our three kids, and the room was super clean. Being able to wash and dry clothes was really useful when the kids got theirs dirty. The room was amazing.

For the price, this was very affordable. It's a cozy little place laid out like a two-bedroom apartment, with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a balcony upstairs. Downstairs there's a small kitchen with a fridge, sink, table, and microwave, plus a TV and two sofas. Parking is right by the front door. I'll come back.

Don't count on being treated fairly.
