Casa Frida B&B

Being on the hillside turned out to be the best part of our stay at Casa Frida. It was peaceful and quiet, with priceless views. The central square is about a seven-minute walk away, and the uphill climb wasn’t a problem for us. Taxis and Ubers were easy to get anywhere in the city. We stayed in room Matisse, which I recommend for its views over the patio and city, plus sunsets by the distant mountains. It stayed cool on sunny afternoons and had lots of natural light. The modern appliances were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was traditional, delicious, and filling, and our cozy room made the stay comfortable and relaxing. The host and staff were warm and helpful with suggestions for making the most of our time in town. Gracias Guillermo for a wonderful stay!

The rooms were beautiful and clean, and the staff made us feel so welcome and were always helpful. Breakfast was included, and it was delicious every day. We loved this bed and breakfast and strongly recommend it for a visit to San Miguel de Allende.

The internet worked perfectly for both of us to take video calls from our room, and Diego the cat was the cutest part of our stay in San Miguel. We spent five nights at Casa Frida and felt at home from the start. Guillermo and his wife were lovely hosts, with great recommendations for activities and restaurants. They also let my in-laws join us for our last breakfast for a small charge. Thanks for a great stay, we’ll be back soon!

Memo made our early arrival easy. We got there at 0930, before check-in, and he helped us park in the locked lot and let us into our room early. Later, he showed us the easiest walking route to the city center. We took an Uber back for 37 pesos. The rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated, and breakfast was tasty and filling. We found no weak points at this hotel. An easy five stars, and we’ll return.
