They charged me too much when I arrived with my guest, even though I'd paid for two beds. The door gets closed at midnight, so you have to knock to get in. It's a family home, and people stay up late downstairs. You can hear everything echo loudly. I hadn't asked for cleaning, but they still went into my room, and $100 was missing from my luggage.

After a long walk around downtown San Miguel De Allende, this is a great place to eat and have a drink. The food is really, really good, and the drinks are tasty and cheap. I highly recommend the artichoke and Pibil tacos.

The owners were super friendly, the beds very comfortable, and the service was excellent. Location is a big plus too, just a block from the center and close to everything. The rooms are tiny, ventilation is poor, shower water kept splashing onto the bed, and it took ages for the hot water to come through. The price is affordable, but I still think it's expensive for the quality of the hotel.

The location is excellent and the staff are friendly, but the rooms were very dusty and dirty. There was dampness in the bathrooms, and the rooms didn't have TV remotes.

It's a comfortable little hotel with very good service, just a few blocks from the main square. Good for a weekend away exploring town and the surrounding area. I'd especially recommend it to young, adventurous couples. Families may find it a bit small.
