The courtyard was lovely, with tables and chairs, and the hotel's quirky, cozy feel comes from all the interesting antiques. We picked it because it's close to our dive pier, and it was also handy for restaurants, shops, and convenience stores. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the rooms were clean and reasonably priced, and there's a shared kitchen with a stove, fridge, and microwave. Breakfast was included, but the 7:30 start was too late for us. We had trouble with the shower throughout our stay: it kept dripping, and water ran out toward the toilet. People talking loudly in the courtyard also woke us when we were trying to sleep. Our AC cooled the room but didn't get rid of the humidity, though our sons' room was better. One more thing, people kept approaching us at the front door to sell things. The location makes that convenient for them, and it got old fast. That's just an FYI, not a complaint about the hotel.

The studio's kitchen and fridge were well equipped, so it would be a good choice if you want to save money. We had a studio and a regular room for five nights. Both were very clean, the AC was quiet, and the staff were friendly. Getting to the ferry terminal was an easy short walk from this central spot. Breakfast wasn't great, but there are plenty of places to eat about five minutes away. We especially liked Corazon Contento.

The service was especially kind when I asked for a later checkout. We were diving in the morning before catching the ferry to Playa, and they let me stay until 3 pm at no extra charge so I could shower and change into dry clothes. The hotel is right on the square, with a great central location and a very good price. Our room was always clean, the beds were reasonably comfortable, and the AC worked really well. We'd definitely come back.

I spent 28 days at Hotel Mary Carmen and was very happy with the stay. It's a nice, clean hotel in a great location, and guests can use the communal kitchen if they want. The staff were awesome and did a great job. If you're in Cozumel to dive, there's a great dive shop just one block away. It's not a resort, but it's a good room for a great price. I plan to stay longer next year and highly recommend it.

We had a great stay. The place is beautiful and feels like home, and our room was clean. It's close to restaurants, Central Park, and convenience stores, just off the main roads but near the strip. Everyone was very helpful and polite. We took their recommended snorkeling tour and really enjoyed it. Nayeli found us a moto taxi to the airport, which was much cheaper than a regular taxi and a fun ride. The young man there was always helpful with directions and suggestions, and breakfast was tasty, filling, and good for the price.
