That view is incredible, and it accounts for the two stars. The room itself was a letdown: the alarm was already chirping when we walked in, one outlet by the bed was broken, and there was no fridge, microwave, or hand towel. The king bed had just two tiny pillows and was much too firm. Getting an Uber from here is difficult too, though that isn't the hotel's fault. I don't usually complain in reviews, but the place seems to rely on its location instead of offering decent service or amenities.

The views were spectacular, but the snack we had at the restaurant wasn't good.

The meal was 2/5, and the whole visit took more than an hour from walking in to getting food. More than half the tables were empty, yet I waited 25 minutes just for someone to take my order. Others who arrived later were served first, and people at my table got their food five minutes before me. My water was never refilled, the chairs were horribly uncomfortable, and the menu PDF wouldn't open for me. This was the worst restaurant I've ever been to, in a hotel or anywhere else.

We loved the room with the outdoor jetted tub, and the grounds were beautiful. Room service and a delicious restaurant with a great view of Monterrey made my birthday trip with my wife, who came with me from California, a great one. Everyone else was attentive, especially the restaurant staff, and we'd definitely return for a longer stay. The one bad moment was the first night, when the woman we spoke to about the reservations was dismissive and gave us false information. She said there were no rooms, even though I'd already booked one, and I later found out two rooms were actually available.

Seeing a puma on my hike was a really pleasant surprise, and I had a lovely stay. There were a few animal droppings on the floor, but not many, which is to be expected out in the wilderness. The pool was refreshing, and the other amenities were too. It feels like a real escape while still being in the city.
