We spent two nights at this beautiful little B&B, which is a great base for seeing Uxmal and other nearby Maya ruins. The room was clean and nicely decorated, breakfast was good, and the garden and pool were amazing. After climbing pyramids in the Mexican heat, it was just the place to relax. You can get a cold beer there, and a few restaurants serving authentic food are only a short walk away. If you get to meet James, the owner, ask him about the local ruins. He knows some favorite spots that may not be in your guidebook. Highly recommended!

Birds are all over the stunning grounds, and there's a great pool to swim in. The private rooms and bungalows are clean, comfortable, and beautifully presented. Staff were so kind, and breakfast and dinner both earned top marks. The chef serves local dishes on a take-it-or-leave-it basis. This is an outstanding base for Uxmal and the Ruta Puuc. I can't recommend it highly enough.

The setting and decor are nice, and the staff were very attentive. They even let me check in six hours early. Still, for the price I expected basics like hot water and somewhere to hang my clothes. There was also a lizard living under the refrigerator, so I had a roommate.

After spending a few days speaking only Spanish in Quintana Roo, it was a nice surprise to be greeted in English at the Flycatcher Inn. During my week in Yucatan and Quintana Roo, this was the only place that knew how to serve Whiskey. The owner came by our breakfast table. Once I found out he was American, I invited him to join us, and we had a pleasant chat. For Americans or Canadians who want the comforts they're used to back home, this place has them at a price not much above the eco hotel options.

The garden is lovely, the pool is nice, and the rooms are roomy and comfortable. Staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke some English. We had excellent food on New Year's Eve and a great breakfast too. A wonderful place, and I'd definitely recommend it!
