I’d give it zero stars if I could. I usually like places with character, but this one was extremely dirty, with very little upkeep or service. Some fixtures were coming off the walls and the upholstery was stained. I’ll leave the rest to your imagination in case this review gets removed. I booked two nights and left after one. They said they’d refund me, but never did, so they kept my money. Stay somewhere else. There are plenty of clean, comfortable, affordable places in Queretaro.

My daughter arrived on Sep-18 for a five-night stay and found bed bugs in her bed the very first night. They moved her to another room the next day, but she found bed bugs there too. What really frustrated us was not being able to get a refund for the three nights left, even after several days and at least two attempts.

The hotel was very dirty, and the towels had stains. When I asked for replacements, I had to wait until housekeeping came back the next day. They couldn’t even give us cleaning supplies, and the water was extremely cold. I would NOT recommend it to anyone.

The beds were very comfortable, but the rooms had poor lighting and the safe didn’t work. There’s nowhere to park at the hotel. They have an arrangement with a garage two blocks away, and you have to carry your own luggage there. The plumbing was really bad, with hot water lasting less than two minutes in the shower. The AC also wasn’t working well. We asked in the morning to have it fixed, but nobody came until the afternoon.

The staff went out of their way to sort out a few small room issues when we first arrived. Their helpfulness and the good value made our stay in this grand historic hotel a wonderful experience. It’s right in the center of a UNESCO World Heritage site, with so many cultural activities and events to enjoy. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Querétaro.
