Mesón del Obispado

My family and I had one of our worst service experiences at the Restaurant Hotel-Meson El Obizpado in downtown Querétaro. There were only a couple of occupied tables, but the food took a long time. My mom waited for tortillas for her soup, and by the time they arrived, the soup was cold. I had to go get my own quesadillas. When they brought my nephew’s spaghetti, they spilled it on my mask. Later, meat was spilled on my mom’s blouse, leaving black spots on her new blouse. The bill included an extra buffet. When I said we’d only had three buffets, they claimed they had watched us on camera eating from my sister’s and nephews’ buffets. That was a lie, and they accused us of it. They also asked us to split the tip among all the employees. I left 10%, but they demanded 15%. A very bad experience.

The buffet was tasty and the service was great, but the selection is very limited. The tortillas take forever because the woman making them is also busy with quesadillas and sopes. They really need more help with that.

I paid for two nights, then found there was no shower and no Internet. When I asked for my money back, they refused, and turned me down again when I went back. Scammers. Don’t book here.

Mesón Del Obispado is a good, clean place. It’s big, and you could go for business, a holiday, or just dinner.
