Sleep Inn Queretaro

For a one-night visit, I’d gladly stay here again, though for longer I’d look elsewhere because there’s no fridge in the room. The nearby La Comer grocery store is very nice and within walking distance. Breakfast is a self-serve buffet in a bright, airy space, with fresh-cut and whole fruit, dry cereal, yogurt, and some protein and bread options that feel like institutional cafeteria food. That’s not surprising at a budget motel. The room is small but clean, the price is attractive, staff are pleasant and helpful, and the wifi is good. I liked having two shades, one that lets light in while blocking the sun, and another that darkens the room. The shower area looks nice, but the fixed showerhead sprays in odd directions and, with the glass partition, water gets onto the bathroom floor. The closet door gets in the way and doesn’t seem necessary. There’s a coffee maker, but no fridge or microwave in the room. I can manage without a microwave, and there is one in the ground-floor breakfast area, along with a filtered-water dispenser that gives hot and cold water and even ice cubes. The missing fridge, though, is a real disappointment.
