I booked this room so I could work, and specifically checked about parking beforehand. They said street parking was available outside or on the parallel street, but there wasn't a spot for blocks. Their message also said reception was open 9 am to 5 pm. I got there at 3:15 and found it closed until 10 am the following day, with nobody on site to check me in or help with problems. I had a 4 pm meeting that I missed after parking far away and carrying all my things to the hotel. I chose the room because it was supposed to have a desk. Instead, I spent three hours messaging the hotel and Expedia, where I booked, during my workday. The only offer was to bring a table at 10 the next morning. I'll see how that goes. There was no staff there or anyone willing to help. The whole thing was incredibly frustrating.

The gardens were lovely and kept really neat, and I felt at ease for all eight days I was there. The staff were genuinely kind, polite, and helpful. Since I was traveling alone, it meant a lot that I could reach them on WhatsApp at any time and feel safe. It was an easy walk to the market and down to the beach. A coffee shop for mornings, an off-license for evenings, and a handy grocery store were all nearby. I didn't try the restaurant right across from the hotel because I felt a bit shy, though it looked nice and was always full of locals. I'd be very happy to return to Sayulita and stay at “OkaheyAko Hotel” again.

I had a really lovely week here. The staff were friendly and attentive to how guests were doing, and I liked relaxing in the garden. There's an outdoor kitchen for cooking, plus surfboards if you want to catch some waves 🌊. It's about a five-minute walk to the center, but the hotel is in a calmer area. There are lots of cafés, restaurants, and shops around, and you can get there easily from the airport by bus.

We felt at home here, and the bungalows were lovely and felt safe. It's a small place with a peaceful atmosphere, lots of trees, and tucked-away outdoor spots to relax. You're still close to everything, with the beach about five minutes away, and the Sayulita bus station around ten minutes away. We took the Compostela bus from the airport. The staff got in touch a couple of days before we arrived and were helpful with activity bookings and recommendations. They know the area well, and came across as honest and hardworking. Our room and the amenities were very clean, and the place was quite affordable. The attached café was a nice way to start the day, with a filling breakfast including homemade croissants, fruit, and eggs. If you're coming to Sayulita, this place is a hidden gem.

Sasa made arriving so easy. He sent a thorough WhatsApp video showing how to get into my room after hours and where to find the private bathroom. The bed was really comfortable, and the courtyard was nice, though mornings could be a bit loud since it's right by the street. With the open-air walls and all the surrounding trees, the place still felt kind of magical. Great value for the money.
