I hesitated to give it three stars because the room, though small, was modern and clean, and everything else was excellent. But the water wasn’t really hot: it was only warm for our evening showers, then cold all morning. With warm water I’d have given four stars. I usually give one or two when the water is cold.

Marco, the owner, was accommodating and very friendly. The location is central, and the overnight parking inside the compound is secure. Rooms are modern, safe, clean, and comfortable, with AC, a ceiling fan, TV, and a hot shower with strong pressure. Great value!

At least Puente de Dios is only about ten minutes away. The hotel itself was disappointing: tiny rooms, no working hot water, and walls so thin we could hear the neighbors. The windows face down toward the floor, with no view, and anyone walking by can see into the room unless the curtains are closed. Trains also pass early in the morning and make a lot of noise.

A good, affordable base for touring the area, including Tamul Falls. The accommodations are simple but clean and nice. When rain started overnight, the considerate owner put a tarp over my bike.

We were six people and got only two towels. Each extra towel cost $40 pesos, which I didn’t like. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and parking was limited.
