We felt safe here, and the place was quiet and peaceful. The rooms aren’t perfect, but they have the essentials, and the staff are kind. The food is pretty good, better than the little restaurants near town. Thank you.

We left in the middle of the night for another hotel and lost the cash we’d paid. The staff wouldn’t answer or apologize, and when we went back twice to ask for a refund, they only made excuses about being unable to reach the owner, manager, or anyone responsible. We chose to leave after problems in all three rooms: broken windows and a door that could easily be opened in the first, a connecting sink pipe that fell down and a horrible smell in the second, and a roof leak in the third. Staff dismissed the leak as just “humidity.” I’ve had a similar experience before where a roof fell down and injured people. No security at all. I do NOT recommend Puerto Cangrejo to my worst enemy. This hotel is a trap.

The pool was very well maintained, and the food was exquisite. Service was warm and attentive, and they have delicious coconut water. Most rooms have ocean views. You can also hold birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations there.
