Hospedaje Casa Santi

We came away feeling recharged, with such good energy from this cute little place. It's beautiful, clean, and comfortable, about ten minutes from the city center, with vans passing every ten minutes. The room was lovely, and the shared space had a small kitchen, places to sit in the sun, and a roomy rooftop where we could do morning yoga with mountain views. Adrian and the whole team were polite, kind, and helpful. He suggested good places in the center and put us in touch with Anabel, a lovely local guide for a hike nearby. Since it was dia de Reyes, he also took us to a party, which was fun. We recommend it. Gracias!

I booked Casa Santi online several hours before arriving and paid a 200 MXN deposit, but when I got there they said no rooms were available. They suggested Casa Azul nearby, but that's a retreat center that doesn't take public bookings. I was left with the impression they wanted me off the property and weren't going to help sort it out. They should have let me know in advance that they couldn't honor the reservation. Instead, I had to drive back to Tepozatlan center and look for an overpriced room at the last minute. Don't rely on Casa Santi's online booking site.

The rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and the terrace looks out over the surrounding hills. It's incredibly quiet here. Highly recommend the place!

There were ants in the bed, the pool wasn't working, and nobody was ever at reception. The phone wasn't working either. This place has a lot of potential, but the owner needs to be on site and improve the standard overall. I think I'll come back to see if the experience is better.
