Hotel Casa La Gran Senora

This felt like a one-star hotel, not a three-star one. The room was tiny, there was no patio, and the Wi-Fi was extremely poor. The bedspreads had holes, and it was noisy too. Although parking was supposed to be included, they sent us to a lot two blocks away that was blocked off and impossible to get into unless you complained. The place looked nothing like the photos and wasn't as advertised.

We've stayed here several times and loved it. Grand Senora is small and quaint, with I believe eight rooms. It's more traditional than many places, kept very clean, and the staff have always been excellent and helpful. Being away from the downtown square means it's quiet, without the church bells and factory whistles common in the center. Nearby restaurants and corner stores cover what else you need. For comparison, Dulce Maria is its larger sister hotel on the main street, closer to downtown, with suites and rooms and a somewhat higher level of presentation and cost. It's nice too, though a bit dimly lit. If you want a clean, quiet, comfortable place with friendly service, Grand Senora is a great choice.

The rooms are generous in size and look onto a central garden courtyard, which gives the hotel a peaceful feel and a traditional elegance. It's clean and clearly well looked after. The reception area is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are helpful. It's a lovely mix of good looks, a convenient location, and an affordable price.

We had a nice one-night stay at this charming family-run hotel. The courtyard was pretty, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly. I found the bed comfortable, though my esposa thought it was firm. Our Don Pedro room had no hot water, which was the only complaint. The air conditioning was good, and it's four blocks from the Plaza, two down and two over.
