The room was small but comfortable, about average compared with other places we’ve stayed. It had a long desk with plenty of work space, though the drawers beneath it left no room for my legs. I saw other rooms being cleaned and noticed some had desks with leg space. There were only two power points, one at the desk and one beside the bed, so I’d suggest bringing an extension cord and multi-socket board. The internet was excellent the whole time, with no dropouts, and working remotely was easy. Cleanliness was a real standout. This is the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in, and the cleaning staff did a wonderful job. The bed was a comfortable double with good linen, and they brought me a second pillow soon after I asked. The bathroom was spotless, the shower had great pressure and got hot quickly, and there were no drain smells. It was a little cramped, as smaller suites often are. They use a commercial toilet paper dispenser, so bring your own if you prefer thicker paper. We booked online without paying a deposit, and the price was good value. We couldn’t get into the room early. I’m not sure if it was because the rooms were still being cleaned after a busy night or because they were being overly stingy, which some hotels do for no good reason. The car park is right by the rooms, so it’s very convenient. I think non-guests can pay to park there, which means it’s supervised all day and for much of the evening. I don’t know what crime is like in Texcoco, but the enclosed hotel grounds should make it fairly secure. The hotel takes up almost a whole block and has its own restaurant. We tried the breakfast buffet once and enjoyed it, for just over $150. If you don’t feel like walking a block to the plaza and other food places, the restaurant is worth a look. The location is excellent too: there’s an OXXO around the corner, a small Aurera supermarket across the road, and the main square, or plaza / "zocolo", is just a block away. Lots of shops stay open until 7-8 p.m. The best test for me is whether I’d come back. Here, that’s a definite yes.

We always stay here when we’re in the area. It’s consistently clean, the staff are friendly, and the price is great. You can walk to restaurants nearby, but the hotel restaurant is amazing, with a Mexican feel and delicious food. The buffet is a fun way to sample dishes you might not know. They serve you there, so nobody’s breathing over your food. Some evenings there’s live entertainment. Wonderful!

The staff were extremely hospitable and did everything they could to help us. You can get an Uber, and getting around by transport isn’t hard. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, including the bar and restaurant on site, and some nice places to visit around the area. The neighborhood itself isn’t especially nice, though; it reminded me of certain parts of Downtown LA or San Francisco. The rooms have TVs, but not many channel options. There’s no AC or phone in the room, though the front desk can provide them, and they’ll bring a fan if you need one. The windows can be difficult to lock and don’t have screens. It’s a comfortable hotel, but it does have those issues.

I’m just waiting to leave this place. Our room felt dirty and wasn’t very good, and the bathroom door was installed backward. Even when you lock it, someone on the other side can simply push it open. There’s no air conditioner, so you have to open the windows to avoid feeling cooked at night, which felt uncomfortable as a foreigner. It could also get very noisy and made it hard to sleep properly. I don’t know if we just got a bad room, but I really didn’t like the hotel and wouldn’t recommend it.

The restaurant nearly made up for the slow service. The food was fantastic in both taste and quality, and I’d come back just to try it again. We called ahead to check whether the room was ready, since check-in was at 2, but arrived at 2:30 p.m. to find it hadn’t even been cleaned. Nothing special otherwise.
