Radisson Hotel Cuernavac

Check-in took ages, and checkout was more than 15 minutes. The rooms are very old and humid, and although the place itself is nice, it feels outdated. Service was subpar. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all.

The restaurant food wasn’t bad, but it was far too expensive. The room was very expensive too, and on the day of my event I found there was no hot water when I tried to shower. I complained to the front desk, but maintenance was still working on it 90 minutes later. Even if they fixed it after that, my schedule was already completely disrupted. At these ridiculous rates, I expected much better. An apology seems to be enough for the hotel, though it probably won’t care. I think they should back-charge my card an amount equal to the inconvenience, but that probably won’t happen. If you can, stay elsewhere. This place isn’t worth it.

The staff were nice during my stay, and the grounds are pleasant, but the hotel is far from Cuernavaca. When I booked by phone, they only offered me the event promotion. Later, they were completely inflexible when I asked to change or cancel the reservation. It was frustrating, and I came away feeling that the hotel cares more about making a profit than about its guests.

The place is clean and very scenic, so it’s great for photos. But there’s no fridge or full-length mirror, and room service ends too early. The biggest issue was reception: no one there spoke English during my five-night stay, including in the evenings. Hotels should have English-speaking staff.
