Radisson Hotel Cuernavaca

Check-in took ages, and checking out took more than 15 minutes. The place looks nice, but it’s dated, and the rooms are very old and have a lot of humidity. Service was subpar. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The restaurant food wasn’t bad, but it was way too expensive. The room was very expensive too, and on the day of my event I discovered there was no hot water for a shower. I complained at the front desk, and even 90 minutes later the maintenance crew was still working on it. By then my schedule was completely disrupted. At these ridiculous rates, I expected much better than an apology, and I feel they should have refunded an amount matching the inconvenience. I doubt that will happen. If you can, stay somewhere else. This place isn’t worth it.

The grounds are nice and the staff treated me well during my stay, but the hotel is quite far from Cuernavaca. When I booked by phone, they offered only the event promotion. Later, they wouldn’t let me change or cancel the reservation, which was really frustrating. It left me feeling that the hotel cares more about making a profit than about its guests.

The scenery is lovely and the place is clean, so it’s great for photos. But on my five-night stay, there was no English-speaking reception staff in the evenings, which was a real problem. There’s no fridge or full-length mirror in the room, and room service ends too early.
