There’s good WiFi and plenty of hot water. The bed is made, but bring a towel. An OXXO is two blocks away, and Calimax Boulevard is about four blocks away. Red and black shared taxis run every few seconds near the OXXO on Blvd Agua Caliente. They cost 15 pesos and go from 4th and Constitución downtown toward places including La Presa and the 5 y 10. I enjoyed my week in this apartment in Tijuana colonia Marrón, and took a ridiculous number of photos of every pretty corner. Now, while roasting in LA Paz, I can remember all the little nooks. It’s a small place, but several people seem to live there quietly across the three floors of the gated, locked building. I don’t think everyone is just passing through and renting through Bookings.com. Life felt informal, the kids seemed safe hanging out while using the good internet, and everyone seemed happy. I never saw the management. They left the key in a box, and I left it there when I checked out. They replied very quickly to the one or two questions I sent. There’s a refrigerator and two-burner hot plate, so I think it suits someone traveling with company who needs to cook.
