Hotel Suiza

I actually liked that the hotel was clean, nice, quiet, and didn't allow smoking in the rooms. But the guy at the desk tried to cheat us. I booked for two adults and one small child, and he said there was only one room left. He charged for three people but gave us a tiny room with one small bed and two pillows. When I asked for another pillow, they wanted 40 pesos more. I also asked if I could pay to upgrade, but he said I'd have to keep that room and rent another one separately. He'd taken away the room price list, too, so watch out for him. Later, I went outside so my wife could smoke a cigarette. He came out warning us about the cops for smoking weed. I told him it was a cigarette, but he said he smelled weed. People all over the street were smoking it, so it wasn't us. I don't smoke cigarettes, weed, or drink.

The staff got mad when I asked for clean towels or sheets, so I had to go request replacements myself. They don't change them, and the towels and sheets were dirty and had holes. Then they blamed me for it. I found roaches everywhere, and a used condom on the floor beside the bed in my dirty room. They don't clean with bleach or disinfectant, apparently because that could ruin the high quality fabric. Also, if you pick up a lady and use a room for 20 bucks for three hours, it may get booked by a paying customer afterward. That happened to my room and another couple's room after they left. Stay away.

The location is the one decent thing about this place. There were roaches, and the rooms felt old, with uncomfortable beds and a broken bedside table. The whole main room had just one light. The bathroom was a decent size, but the shower was a two foot PVC pipe sticking out of the wall, with a dirty, leaky shower head. For similar prices, I'd spend a bit more and find a more up to date hotel.

My room was fine, the bed was more comfortable than I expected, and I didn't see any creepy crawlers. The only annoying part was my room being right by the door, so the lobby TV woke me up at 5am. For the price, it wasn't bad at all.
