The apartment was okay, and the staff were really nice. The room itself was clean, but I wish the bedsheets and towels had been cleaner. After seeing the same issue in four different places, including in Oacaxa and Puebla, we had to accept they don't meet our hygiene standard. The faucets and showers also didn't work very well anywhere, which was annoying, though I don't want to judge the room on that.

I liked the rooms, which were beautiful and had either a double bed or a double bed with a shower room. The parking was the one thing I didn't like. It's about a block away, which is why I gave the location four stars.

The friendly staff and being only half a block from the main square were the only real positives. The so-called "boutique" concept is frankly laughable. The parking is three blocks away in a dusty lot, and the internet was unreliable. There are serious damp problems on the walls and ceilings too. At night, light from the hallway comes straight through the completely transparent curtains, leaving the room fully lit. If guests across the hall watch TV late, the changing light spills into your room. And the bathroom smells strongly and constantly of sewage. Leave its door open by mistake and the whole room feels like a drain. A terrible choice.

I complained about all of this to the receptionist before leaving, and he mocked me and questioned everything I said. He asked why I was complaining when nothing had been stolen, and mentioned the safe deposit box, as if all my things would fit in there. Besides, staff with questionable ethics can access it too. When I said people had been at the bar on Sunday and I hadn't slept well, he laughed incredulously and kept challenging what I said. It's deplorable that the establishment won't take responsibility. We rented three rooms for three days, and two had leaking bathrooms that left permanent puddles. The drains were in terrible shape, and the rooms smelled of sewage the whole time. The blankets smelled awful too, and I don't know how often they're washed. The internet was terrible, and the bar right beside the rooms stayed open late, making it feel like other guests were in your room. A place meant for rest shouldn't have a bar right next to the rooms. They say they aren't responsible for belongings lost from rooms, which I already find alarming. But they also entered our room without permission twice, even though I asked them not to clean because I was worried about my things. They said their policy was not to move guests' belongings while cleaning. The first day they did clean, though, they touched and moved everything, including my whole suitcase and toiletries. TERRIBLE PLACE, DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were very attentive. The hotel is centrally located and highly recommendable. One of the room's light bulbs wasn't very bright, but everything else was great. I'd definitely stay again.
