The beds were comfortable, the food was good, and there was decent parking. The Wi-Fi didn't reach every room, but it worked well in the common areas and by our room's window. What really mattered, though, was how the staff helped us during the violence on Jan 5th 2023. They made sure we knew to stay inside and kept us updated about nearby cities. They were wonderful with us and our dog while we stayed in for two days, kept the restaurant open, and let us book another night at short notice. The hotel is dog friendly, and I was so grateful we found it. We plan to stay again on the way back, and I'd highly recommend it.

We stayed here in May 2023 and returned on November 6th. The pool is now unusable and in disrepair, which really disappointed the kids in 99-degree heat. The Wi-Fi was unusable too, so we had to use phone hotspots.

The front desk area was so organized, and the staff's service, cleanliness, and attention to detail were excellent. It's a quirky place, though. The main building sits apart from the guest rooms, which curve around a courtyard, leaving each room shaped like a wedge or trapezoid. I've never stayed anywhere laid out like that, and it barely works as a hotel, lol. Still, it was a fantastic, interesting stay, just a short one. After a day out in 95F heat, the room was hot and humid, and the struggling air conditioning took a while to cool it. It would help if the a/c were better and could stay on while you're out. There was no cold water either, so we'd get wet in the shower and then stand dripping in the room to cool off. This was the only budget stay on our 14-day tour of Mexico, and considering the price, you get what you pay for. Even so, it exceeded my expectations. It's quirky and eco-friendly, and I'd recommend it for a night or a short stay. 😊

It's handy being close to the ferry terminal, but the hotel seems to think more highly of itself than it should. The layout is odd, and although the room was okay, the exposed electrical breakers in the wall looked ugly. A transformer hummed annoyingly all night.
