The beach was completely empty, with nobody trying to sell anything, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The bay gets much less seaweed than other hotels, and staff clear away whatever reaches shore. You can snorkel right in front of the hotel; bring fins or water shoes for the whole bay. I went out alone over the reef and saw lots of fish. I preferred it to Turtle Bay, where a guide is needed and turtles get harassed by crowds of tourists. Forget the turtles and enjoy this place.

The people working here were wonderful, and the kitchen was well equipped. We stayed a week in a spacious, two-bedroom beachfront condo. Snorkelling was excellent, and we walked to a lovely cenote lagoon for more. There are also some fabulous restaurants within walking distance. A beautiful spot for a relaxing vacation, and I'd highly recommend it.

The apartments are very spacious and well kept, and the staff are friendly. The pool and beach areas are fantastic, and the location within Half Moon Bay is perfect. Great value for money. I'd definitely book again.

The location felt good and safe, the property was well maintained, and we liked having beach access. Some parts of the shore are rocky, so water shoes are a good idea; there were lots of small fish close in when we snorkelled. We walked about 15 minutes to Yal Ku Lagoon and 30 minutes to turtle beach. Without a car, bikes or a golf cart would be best. We rented bikes and rode to a nearby Cenote and to Monkey Sanctuary over the hill on the “locals” side. The first few days had several problems, though the stay was good overall. There was no hot water the first night and only some of the second day because the water heater wasn't switched on. The common area had no central air the first night, though the bedrooms did have AC. On the third night the hot-water shower knob got stuck, and the hot water didn't last long enough for four people. Smaller issues: Wi-Fi only worked in the living room, but we weren't there for Wi-Fi. The beds were firm full-size, not queens.
