Tuup Tulum

I lost my keys in a taxi one night, and the front desk concierge contacted the very same driver they’d called for us earlier. He brought them back, which was a huge help. We were in town for a wedding elsewhere along the strip and stayed at Tuup Tulum for the weekend. The staff were courteous and looked after us like VIPs, carrying our bags and bringing complimentary drinks to the ocean-view bungalow we’d booked at a great price. Special thanks to Angeles and Hector at reception, and Alberto, who served us by the pool.

Our jungle-side room was calm and quiet, and the whole place felt clean, safe, and comfortable for the four of us. The rate was hard to beat, especially in the Zona Hotelera. Parking was straightforward and well monitored, and the location made it easy to get to the beach and some of Tulum’s best restaurants and beach clubs. I used to live in Tulum and would definitely choose Tuup Tulum again on a future trip.

A comfortable bed, a great shower, and super-fast WiFi made our jungle-side room a real find. We also enjoyed borrowing bikes and hanging out by the pool. Since it’s part of Tuup, you can spend time at either the quieter jungle pool or the livelier main area at Panamera. They have different feels, and both are great. I’d stay again without hesitation.

We loved the ocean-view room, the comfortable bed, the clean bathroom, and the little terrace. It’s rustic in a relaxed, unpretentious way, and one of the cutest hotels around. Music stopped by 10:30 p.m., so we slept well. Maybe they added a curfew or soundproofing, because some older negative reviews made me wonder if things had changed over the past year. The wording about “access to Panamera facilities” is misleading. You still pay to use the pool and beach club, just like everyone else. For about $120-$150 a night, though, the price felt fair compared with other local hotels, and we’ll come back. The staff were great, especially Jessica, who was lovely and helpful. It’s pet friendly too, so we could bring our two pups and share the trip with them.
