We booked this apartment through Airbnb for two weeks and had a great time. The pool area is nice for lounging, and having a French press in the kitchen was handy. We hardly cooked because there are great restaurants nearby. It's about a 15-minute walk to La Veletta and its restaurants. We felt safe walking even at night on the jungle roads, with the stars overhead. It feels like a jungle outpost, surrounded by trees and only a few scattered buildings. For Tulum, the quiet was a big deal: we never had trouble sleeping because of outside noise. You're just beyond the louder areas but can still walk to La Veletta's main street. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly after we unplugged the router behind the TV, and on the first day we had to ask about the hot water because you need to turn it on. The older gentleman at reception was so nice, and we always enjoyed greeting him in the morning and evening. Great value and a really relaxing place.

The surrounding roads and infrastructure are disappointing, though that's a well-known Tulum/Veleta issue and not UNHO's fault. Taxis are expensive in Tulum, so you'll need the supplied bicycles, of which there were two when we visited, or some other vehicle. We had a power cut for the whole night, which was unpleasant in the heat and humidity without AC, but it affected the whole city. The complex is fairly new, with minimal decor and a clean look that's great for photos. Our room was lovely, with a big kitchen island and all the cooking equipment we needed. The smoothie blender was a nice touch. The bed was huge and very comfortable, and the AC cooled the room quickly. A big panoramic window looks out to the outer jungle, and there's an outdoor pool to cool off in. The shower had good pressure, and nice toiletries were provided. Everyone who helped us at the hotel was amazingly friendly. It was a great stay overall.

The rooms were lovely and comfortable for a few nights, and the manager was very helpful, fixing our Wi-Fi and AC when we arrived. Coffee was provided, and being able to do laundry with our own soap was useful. I'd stay again for a short visit if they paved the roads. The area has a lot of construction and unpaved roads. After rain, we had to drive a rental car through huge water-filled potholes. People also partied loudly until 4 a.m. every night, making it hard to sleep. The other staff weren't very attentive. They stayed on their phones and didn't greet us when we came or went. We speak Spanish, so it wasn't a language barrier.

We had a lovely stay at UNHO and would recommend it to anyone. The studio was nicely decorated, and the bed was really comfortable. The plunge pool was great after being out in the sun, and the AC was our best friend 🤩. The kitchen could use better utensils and pots, and a kettle would help. We had to boil water in a pot for our morning coffee. The staff were friendly, but the area is still being developed and it's hard to walk there at night, so we carried flashlights. The bikes were rusty and had poor tires, so we ended up renting our own. We still enjoyed our time here.

The apartment was really nice, and the staff were helpful and responsive whenever they could be. They accommodated us well, and it was a great place to stay. The roads getting there are very bumpy, though I don't think that's Unho's fault.
