The listing said pets were welcome, but when we arrived, we were told they couldn't stay.

I had a really good stay, and the parking, staff, rooms, and breakfast were all great. The plumbing could probably use a little more attention, though.

We paid $30, which was more than Holiday Inn, yet there was no fridge or microwave in the room. The motel also had no bar or restaurant, and the river view in the ad turned out to be the back of a building.

The hard mattress kept me awake, and the floor was dirty when I arrived. If you can spend a little more, I'd look at another hotel in Tuxpan. Holiday Inn Express is much better than City Express, and the price difference isn't that big.

It's a very nice hotel, just five minutes from downtown Tuxpan Veracruz. The traditional "La parroquia" Restaurant is right across from it. Highly recommended.
